STATUS: Full-time and part-time seasonal positions (March – October)
Jamie’s Whaling Station Ltd has been in operation for over 35 years. We have locations in both Tofino & Ucluelet and are proud to offer whale, bear, hot springs cove, kayaking, cultural canoe, and water taxi tours/services.
Our fleet includes a mix of vessels including the adventurous Zodiac as well as Covered Cruisers.
Our Skippers main focus is safety and comfort of all passengers while creating a memorable experience through education, local knowledge and engaging discussions with guests. We do so by offering top of the line equipment, training, and applicable resources.
Must have a solid foundation and confidence in the ever-changing marine environment. Knowledge and firsthand experience of the local geography and wildlife is an asset. Passion and personality are also key attributes for this fast pace role, all the while keeping safety standards as the utmost priority.
Your responsible for the safe operation of your vessel as well as the compliment of passengers at all times.
Ensuring all supplies and materials are assembled before your tour departs, this includes but is not limited to fuel, oil, emergency equipment checked.
Able to answer and accommodate guests in a professional friendly manner. Adhere to our dress code/uniform.
Ensure that all marine, environmental, and wildlife viewing guidelines are being met and or exceeded.
