Hot Springs Cove by Zodiac

For those seeking an exciting West Coast experience, with a real connection to the elements, join us on one of our fast-paced Zodiac Hot Springs Cove tours.

Cruise into the heart of Clayoquot Sound through the protected inlet waters or along the outer-coast towards Hot Springs Cove located 26 nautical miles from Tofino at Maquinna Provincial Park. A long-time favourite stopover of locals and passing fishing vessels, this magical place is accessible only by boat or plane.

Although we do not offer any guaranteed sightings on this tour, the 1-1.5 hour scenic boat ride each way presents many opportunities to view wildlife such as Whales, Bears, Sea Otters, Eagles, Seals, Sea Lions and much more.

Once your skipper drops you off at Hot Springs Cove, hike for 30 – 40 minutes along a raised cedar boardwalk trail through the vibrant temperate rainforest. This allows you 2-hours to explore and soak in the natural thermal hot spring pools that have poured over the rocks and into the ocean for thousands of years.

Located nearby are outhouses, change rooms, and a covered seating area. After your soak, enjoy your peaceful surroundings before exploring the rainforest on your way back to the boat.

A fantastic day long adventure on Vancouver’s West Coast

We enjoyed a wonderful day with our skipper who was a friendly and highly engaging host while in transit to the hot springs. Thanks to his local knowledge (and good luck!) we also hit the jackpot, spotting gray whales, countless sea otters, harbour seals and amazingly, a small pod of transient killer whales. We even snapped a photo at the very moment one of them breached the surface. All and all, it was a great outing for our young family.

Summer Vacay in Tofino

We did the Hot Springs tour. It was fantastic. The ocean was calm so we were able to take the outside route on the way up and the interior route on the way back. Saw grey whales, seals, otters, and porpoises on the way there and grey whales on the way back. At the hot springs, we saw bald eagles. They were amazingly close to the springs. The hot springs were HOT. The hike to and from was beautiful. The staff at Jamie’s were great and our sea captain was top notch. Would highly recommend this tour. Worth every penny. My 2 kids, 9 and 13 were awestruck.

Absolutely Amazing Experience with Jamie’s!

My friend and I had the pleasure of taking the Hot Spring Cove Tour with Jamie’s. Let me say, it was unbelievable! Our captain for the day was amazing! He was very knowledgeable about the island and animals and answered all of the questions we had. We were fortunate enough to see Orcas, sea lions, sea otters, bald eagles, and wild cattle. The overall tour was 6 hours which gave us plenty of time to get to the cove, hike to the hot spring, spend time there, come back to the boat and return to Tofino! I would absolutely recommend Jamie’s to anyone coming to Tofino!
