Broken Islands Lodge History Tour

Come join us for a full day out in Barkley Sound to experience the wild west coast landscape and some of its industrial history

From our dock in Ucluelet, we’ll embark on a scenic cruise through the renowned Broken Group Islands with ample opportunity to search for wildlife including Black Bears, Humpback Whales, seals, sea otters , eagles and more.

• Enjoy a visit to the historic Broken Islands Lodge to learn about the Whaling Station’s past and the history of commercial whaling in Barkley Sound.
• Enjoy a delicious, home-cooked lunch at a remote rainforest lodge where the forest meets the sea before returning by boat to Ucluelet.

Our Vessels: the Pacific Springs, Eagle 44 and the Sea Cruiser

Safety

At Jamie’s, the safety of our passengers and crew is our highest priority. As part of our ongoing commitment to safety, we have extensive training and vessel maintenance schedules in place and have made significant investments in ensuring we have safety and life-saving equipment on our vessels that not only meet, but exceed Transport Canada standards.

Before each tour, our crew will gather all guests for a safety briefing while also distributing Personal Floatation Devices (PFDs) to each individual.
